The well known user-built database actually offers a very high quality of information on the history of Israel and many, many other related subjests. Since it can be altered anytime by its users, inaccurate information does creep in from time to time, but this shortcoming is greatly offset by the vastness of information available.

Jewish Virtual Library (www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org)
An enormous database with information about Jewish and Israeli history, important documents and much, much more. Contains a section for "Myths and Facts" attempting to refute some of the most common myths about the Arab-Israeli conflict.

MidEastWeb (www.mideastweb.org)
A very comprehensive website containing vast amounts of information on Israel and other parts of the Middle East. The site is an attempt at offering a balanced picture, making room for both the Israeli and Arab versions of history. Visit the site's history section here.

Palestine Facts (www.palestinefacts.org)
This website seeks to offer thorough and precise information regarding the historic, military and political background for the continued struggle between the Jewish state and the Palestinian Arabs.

The Six Day War (www.sixdaywar.org)
An overview of the participants and the historic developments before, during and after the Six Day War in June 1967. A good resource with many pictures, videos and links to historic documents and additional information.

MEMRI - The Middle East Media Research Institute (www.memri.org)
Analyses of Middle Eastern media with translations from Arabic, Farsi and Hebrew to all major Western languages. The purpose is to provide the West with an insight into the media of the Middle East.

CMIP - Center for Monitoring the impact of Peace (www.edume.org)
New York based NGO, analysing school books in the Middle East (including Israel) in order to investigate the values that various societies instill in their children.

Justice for Jews from Arab Countries (www.justiceforjews.com)
This organization seeks to raise "the other refugee question", i.e. the one concerning the Jewish refugees from Arab countries, by getting the families to registre their stories and their lost assets on the website, before the last generation of Jews born in Arab countries disappears.

B'Tselem (www.btselem.org)
Israeli human rights organization focusing on the occupied territories. Includes a detailed overview of both Israeli and Palestinian losses since the start of "the Second Intifada".

Anti-Defamation League (www.adl.org)
An organization working against anti-Semitism and discrimination in general.

Simon Wiesenthal Center (www.wiesenthal.com)
An international, Jewish human rights organization fighting racism, anti-Semitism, terrorism and genocide. The centre is known for its work to prosecute World War II Nazi war criminals.

Palestinian Media Watch (www.pmw.org.il)
Understand the Palestinian society through its media. Israeli website in English. Examining the support of and incitement to terrorism against Israel in the official Palestinian media.

Eye On The UN (www.eyeontheun.org)
Website seeking to determine to what extend the United Nations (UN) lives up to its original purpose of identifying, condemning and protecting against the breaching of fundamental human rights.

The 2nd Draft (www.seconddraft.org)
A critical look at the alliance between Palestinians and international media in the production of false, anti-Israeli media images - a phenomenon also knowns as "Pallywood".
